Change Management: Health & Safety Leadership / Exceptional Performance Program

Concentric Consulting focused a Senior Leadership Team to identify their strengths, work collaboratively and created an effective set of tools to deliver the 5-year health, safety, environmental and value for money strategic plan.

Brief

Achieving Collaborative working to deliver the H&S Strategy

Design and deliver a change plan and approach to engage the H&S Senior Leadership Team to work closer, define a new organisation structure and maximise both the value and intent of the H&S strategy
Working with the senior leaders align the team to define & deliver the H&S strategic plan’s 3 objectives:

    1. Regroup and improve the H&S Senior Leadership Teams working relationships
    2. Bring the H&S senior leaders’ team together to align on ways of working that support collaboration and team work
    3. Deliver the 5-year safety, security, environmental and value for money plan

Delivery

Defining what was needed

Using our experience and tools Concentric needed to develop a high performing team and the to design the structure and change plan to deliver the 5-year strategy, working with the team to design, deliver, and program manage two forums.

DEVELOPING THE PLAN FOR CHANGE

Forum 1 – Developing a high performing team required engaging the stakeholders to set expectation and prepare for understanding what is required. Defining and ownership of the leadership skills needed to operate as a high performing team and align on ways of working that support collaboration and teamwork, all captured in a team vision and charter that supports the mindset & behaviours needed.

Forum 2 – Define and align the structure and organisation to maximise value and intent of the H&S strategy and define the governance to support implementation. Set the collaboration parameters of the team & leadership skills needed to deliver the change plan capturing the plan, structure, and road map for implementation.

INCREASE PERFORMANCE & IMPLEMENT THE H&S STRATEGY
The learnings from the forums were used to maximise the strengths as a team and informed better working together by identifying what could be used more, what behaviours had to change and what needs to be done differently. This forged deeper relationships with understanding of each other’s working styles, preferences and expertise and was supported with a practical & realistic tool box to continue working effectively in a realistic timeline and as a high performing team.
