22 Sep National Rail Award Nomination

Concentric Consulting Ltd have been nominated for a national rail award for the work undertaken with Amey Rail Design & Operations. Concentric designed and delivered a Performance Excellence program targeted to improve the Design & Operations offering in a structured, engaging and innovative process where ownership of the new ways of working would be embedded within the team.

A four-phased approach was used, facilitated and program managed by Concentric focusing on an effective governance model with clear accountabilities at senior level and standard processes for change control.  Based on this process, Concentric and the Amey Working Group defined a set of tools and processes that would have a positive impact on performance and add value in real-time.

Key Findings

When interviewed, Network Rail (the contract sponsor) recognised the huge value and impact of Performance Excellence and were aligned in their belief it would guide Amey into a more effective and powerful Design & Operations organisation.

They are keen to see the continuation of Performance Excellence with an emphasis on ensuring the tools are in use by both senior managers and frontline teams.
